# Do you cover IVDD?

We're proud to offer lifetime cover for intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD).

At the time of writing, about 2% of the claims we've paid out have been for IVDD!

We just need to highlight that we only cover _new_ conditions that started showing symptoms after your Napo cover starts. We don't cover [pre-existing conditions](https://help.napo.pet/en/articles/5599025-is-my-pet-covered-for-pre-existing-conditions), unfortunately, including IVDD that started showing symptoms in the first 10 days of your policy.
