# How do I pay my excess?

Your excess is deducted from your claim payout, so all you have to do is get your claim submitted by either your vets or yourself in your [Napo dashboard](/content/dashboard/claims/index.html). We'll assess it and deduct your excess from the claim.

At Napo, we have a £99 standard excess* per condition, per policy year (for vet fees only).

With [third-party liability](https://help.napo.pet/en/articles/5753917-third-party-liability-for-dogs-only) cover, you’ll need to pay a £250 excess (dogs only).

If you claim for anything other than vet fees or third-party liability there is no excess to pay.
